T21 SWIM WARRIORS MAKING WAVES

Joey Jurries and Katya Vazhenin are putting their names in the record books this summer. Both are achieving “para-motivational” times which give them opportunities to swim at high level meets.

They are rising to the occasion as Joey set a new Americas Region record and Katya can now add “National Masters Champion” to her resume. Incredible swimming!

USA Down Syndrome Swimming presented this video to a 2021 global summit for adapted aquatics. It celebrates our athletes (T21 Swim Warriors), lists the benefits of competitive swimming, provides insight to coaches, therapists and others working with the athlete with Down syndrome, and provides more information on how an athlete with Down syndrome can get connected to a local swim club in the USA.
