Bianca was introduced to swimming at the early age of nine months. She was in survival swim classed, and soon after, she became a mermaid in the water! She loves the beach and the pool. At the age of eight, she started learning freestyle and backstroke with the Broward County Special Olympics. Bianca has enjoyed various sports over the years, such as cheerleading, gymnastics and tennis. She also did some modeling, which she loved. She is truly a natural model.
When Covid 19 came to our lives, modeling was shut down and artistic swimming crossed our path. This became Bianca’s greatest experience. She loves music, dancing and water, so the combination of all of these loves, was the perfect sport for her. It just naturally became her favorite sport.
Bianca, along with her team, participated in the USADSS National Training Camp in Orlando, FL in February 2022, and again in October 2023. Bianca and her team were announced both years as the USADSS National Artistic Swimming Team.
She had the opportunity to participate with her team at the World Down Syndrome Competition in Albufeira, Portugal in October 2022. The girls group routine got them the silver medal!
Bianca has never missed a practice, unless she is sick. Her love and dedication to the sport is an inspiration for all of us. She loves the friendships she has built throughout her years with this team.
