Camp Objectives
Swimmers: The Competitive Swimming camp will include 2 sessions in the pool and 1 classroom session each day to receive instruction on the mechanics of all 4 strokes, starts, turns, and more! USADSS RECOMMENDS that campers are at least 13 years old and have 2 “B” Minimum Qualifying Times (MQTs). See chart below for MQTs. Please contact event@usadss.org of you have any questions.
Artistic Swimmers will learn all the techniques for figures and routine in artistic swimming. You will also learn how to be a part of a team and to work with each other. Campers will work on basic skills like: support scull, egg beater, figure positions, stretching, transitions, partner work, lifts and body alignment. The training will result in learning how to dance a routine in the water. In addition to individual development, coaches will identify the most talented athletes in the nation to be part of the 2024 USA Down Syndrome National Artistic Swimming Team.

Day 1, Wednesday : Long sleeve blue LIMITLESS shirt (provided in swag bag)
Day 2, Thursday : Your home team shirt (take a photo and thank them privately or on Facebook while you are at camp!)
Day 3, Friday: Repeat: Long sleeve blue LIMITLESS shirt (provided in swag bag)… TEAM PHOTO in AM with Artistic
Day 4, Saturday: CHOICE: Favorite Color or Limitless Shirt

ROWDY GAINES MASTERS MEET: For those attending the Rowdy Gaines Masters Meet Oct 12-14, we hope to be able to find each other and sit together. We will have a sign, but please use the group WHAT’s APP to ask questions and connect.
EARLY CHECK IN ON TUESDAY: If you arrive early, the hotel is allowing us to store luggage until rooms are available.
The USADSS Camp Committee will greet campers after 2pm. Please stop by to check in when convenient.
